Many public speakers fail to connect for one of four reasons:
  1. Their stories, anecdotes, or jokes were better told by someone else first.
  2. Their stories, anecdotes, or jokes have little to no relationship to the points of the speech or message they intend to convey to the audience.
  3. Their stories, anecdotes, or jokes are delivered flatly, with no emotion because they are “made up” and the speaker has no emotional investment in the story themselves.
  4. Their stories, anecdotes, or jokes take entirely too long to develop and deliver or worse better resemble a soap opera than a life changing speech.

As a sales and marketing professional with more than ten years experience in a single Fortune 50 company, I bring a strong history of building lasting relationships in a diverse cultural environment. Selling advertising tools to small and medium sized businesses gave me great exposure to the specific needs of several types of industry.
