"Sometimes, the best leadership of a deceptive and manipulative person is to lead them to another team."
ONE OF THE TOUGHEST ASSIGNMENTS AS A LEADER IS READING PEOPLE.
Some people are hard to read because they are introverts and don’t really want to be “known” anyway.
Some people wear their emotions on their sleeve making them somewhat volatile, unpredictable and hard to lead.
Some people pretend to be transparent, open, honest and direct but really they are manipulation everyone around them with deception.
Some people really are exactly who they say they are. No pretense. No manipulation. No deception. No agenda. No ulterior motive. They are rare and should be treasured highly. Their integrity makes them invaluable to a team or organization.
Leaders must learn to read the difference, know how to separate them from each other and deploy the right people skills to lead them well.
Sometimes, the best leadership of a deceptive and manipulative person is to lead them to another team.
