My life changed in 2001 when someone said to me the magic words, "You seem like a sharp guy, are you the type of guy that keeps your options open for additional streams of income"? I was in. I entered the world of Network Marketing and failed miserably for the first five years. In my book, How to Make A Fortune in Network Marketing, I talk about the network marketing intervention. My wife, my lawyer, my dad, and my best friend got me in room and told me to STOP. I had a degree. I was enthusiastically going broke running a not-for-profit business in the discomfort of my home. I had to pull the plug. And get a "real job" After 5 years of struggling, I made a decision that changed everything for me. I learned the skills, habits and mindset needed to have success. While I went into a sales job in advertising, I started down the path of personal development. I continued to listen to the cassette tapes and cd's, read the books, and went to the seminars. I began with Landmark, then Peak Potentials and then a decade of training. Then at 33 years old, feeling frumpy and grumpy and paying $2700 a month in rent for a 700 square foot apartment, I was ready. A man walked into my office, down 42 pounds and 8 inches off his waist. That's when my life changed. The man asked me if I would try the nutrition program he was doing, and I did. Within days, my energy went through the roof and I had more mental clarity, as if the fog had been lifted and my lights were turned on. I got my weight down to what it was in high school. And I started to tell everybody. I was amazed at the success I had, enrolling over 500 people and growing it to over 15,000.
