Do you have a mental maintenance agreement?

Most people buy a warranty when they buy a new car. An after market maintenance agreement will cover repairs to save you the out of pocket costs of certain repairs. The same with expensive electronics, appliances and even jewelry. If it’s a big investment, you need to make the additional investment to make sure it is cover in order to keep it working in TOP CONDITION.

Do you have a plan? Do you have a coach, a mentor or someone to who you can vent and reflect? In a healthy marriage, that person may be your spouse. If your marriage is a “victim” of your daily stresses you need someone else. In fact, depending on your lifestyle, your profession, your underlying medical conditions you may need more than one person. 

In my life, I have different pastors, fellow coaches, personal mentors, and a few professional counselors. All of these people have been given authority by me to speak directly into my life to tell me when the see something or hear something which might need more attention and intentional focus. They also have the right to call me out in the way of accountability. All of them listen closely when I have concerns, fears, stressors in my life to help identify not only the symptoms of the issue but to help ferret out the cause.
