Everyone is in your life for a season or a reason. You won’t always know which. You won’t always know why.
Knowing this reality gives both confidence to carry on when the season is over and conviction to treat them with love, grace and mercy and LLC the whole be the best YOU you can be in the season of shared journey. Not every season that ends need to end badly. Finishing well is an art form and also a skill to be learned which requires discipline and commitment. If you are in a season of change which is causing you some stress know this. Every season is followed by ANOTHER SEASON. Your opportunity is fresh and new to apply the lessons learned and carry on into this new grand opportunity. Make the most of it. Look for anything you could have done better, any lessons you can learn to improve yourself and any opportunity to demonstrate love and grace rather than bitterness and back biting. Grace wins every time. Tell It Like It Is TV with J Loren Norris providing daily leadership video lessons for faith, family and freedom. Copyright 2019 Tell It Like It Is, Inc. All rights reserved.

Rather than being labeled "bombastic" more leaders should practice the wisdom of Ron White and Bill Engvall. "I shoulda shut up!" "I had the right to remain silent, but not the ability." Life comes in circles and cycles.
There are two different ways the circles get smaller, when your getting closer to the top of the mountain and when you’re going down the drain. Like a helicopter on auto rotate going down fast. Those circles also grow faster, meaning the time it takes to make a lap is shorter, hastening the end of the journey. That’s good if you’re going up and the summit, the peak, the pinnacle of your life is close. That’s not so good of you’re going down the drain and your life, your career, your relationship is hastening to its end. It’s really hard to slow down or reverse course. The worst feeling in the moment you realize you THOUGHT or FELT LIKE it was all going your way but you didn’t recognize the signs. Your perception might be, we’re all good. We’re holding steady. We’re gaining ground. All the while you’re going down in flames and don’t realize it yet. You need an objective voice in your life who can help you to see where things are failing which perhaps you have ignored or are simply oblivious. Time to get a coach. A professional organizer said recently “If you find yourself moving the same box to the second or third house and it is still all taped up, you don’t event have to open it to know it is of little value.” I want you to know the same thing is true of the emotional space in your life. If you are carrying around yesterday’s trophies hoping the win will count without having to struggle again you are wrong. If you are carrying around yesterday’s troubles and hoping for pity today, it’s not coming. It’s time to chuck it. Let it go. Move on. Get your mind cleared of clutter. Being offended has surpassed baseball as the American national pass-time. We have reached a fevered pitch in our country where the divisive nature of division itself has eaten up society like a cancer. It is so virtuous to be a victim that it has become an effective public relations event. If you can manage to be caught in the media being victimized your name becomes a household word in a matter of hours. Even to the extent people are willing to risk it all, to lie, to fabricate events, to manipulate facts and make claims of nothing for the sake of publicity JUST TO BE A VICTIM. As leaders, we need to have wisdom and grace to know who is really being victimized SO WE CAN HELP TO PROTECT THEM and who is proverbially crying wolf so they may receive the justice they deserve not the glory they are seeking. If you have thought it is a viable strategy to cry victim for the fame, the fortune or the revenge please think again. The backlash may be more notoriety than you can handle. #twitter https://twitter.com/TwitterMoments/status/1098552661798993920
The question is NOT do you have chinks in your armor? BUT how do you cover them up?
In the video I will reveal the #1 most common cover up used by almost everyone!! We all have weaknesses. Some have weakness of mind, or education, or experience, or physical limitations. We all have weaknesses. The truth is we all cover them up instinctually. Meaning, we often cover our weaknesses with behavior which seems just a bit unnatural. It might be the classic “over compensating” or diverting everything the the area of our strength. But it happens subconsciously in most people. “When the best tool you have is a hammer every challenge in life is treated like a nail.” The question is this: How do you cover up your weakness? Are you the only one who seems to fall for the distraction or misdirection? Is the rest of the world looking at your “cover up” and noticing your weakness too? If you’re still doing in 5 years the job you’re doing now is that a win or a fail?
There is a fine line between contentment and complacency. When you are CONTENT you have peace without regard for circumstances. With contentment, you maintain hope things will constantly be getting better and your ambition remains a strong motivation for your own improvement. When you are COMPLACENT you have reached a point of “content to a fault”. You have lost all ambition for better, you have given up hope, you have relegated yourself and your posterity to the lot in life you are experiencing right now. The answer is a VISION. You need a vision of yourself in the future which demands that you grow and improve to be worthy of your own future. You need a vision which so emotionally compels you that you would face down lions to reach the goals along the way. Develop a vision for your life which will motivate you beyond the mundane and STOP SETTLING! Complacent is “content to a fault” - look it up. LEAD YOUR PLATFORM
What is not true is the idea that just because you have a life and a life story you should tell it everywhere there is a stage. Not every audience is your audience. Not every stage is your stage. As a leader you have your own stage/ platform. You are in a place to influence people. Maybe it’s a few people, maybe it’s a dozen or a few dozen people, maybe it’s a few hundred or a few thousand people. Know this - the size of your platform is much less important than the size of your impact. LEAD YOUR PLATFORM BY BEING RESPONSIBLE FOR THE INFLUENCE YOU CARRY. https://youtu.be/tOFpXpHYSaQ Tell It Like It Is TV with J Loren Norris providing daily leadership video lessons for faith, family and freedom. Faith is crucial. Faith without work is dead. Work without work ethic is slothfulness - laziness - that leads to destruction. If you plan to share in the food in my house, you better plan to share in the WORK. It has been the understanding of my kids (now grown) since they were toddlers. What if achieving the goals you have set for 2019 will actually delay your dreams? What if the plans you have made are perfectly practical but incongruous your purpose, your passions and you preparation for living your dream? We all have goals, achievements, desires and tasks which we dedicate time, effort, attention, finances and emotion toward which have little reward in the end. Sometimes we have “buyers remorse” for those choices because they keep us from the real dreams and goals of our life. They keep us from the long term accomplishments of a purpose we are yet to discover. They are tantamount to eating the seeds rather than planting them and awaiting the harvest. That doesn’t make them wrong, but it could make them a detour or diversion from our dreams. So ask yourself, is this short term goal ON THE WAY to my dream, a delay to my dream or in the way of my dream? There are at least three primary conditional elements which impact the quality of your day, week, month, year or even destiny.
If you can change anyone of these your chances of a brighter future get exponentially better very quickly.
Understanding the role each of these plays is the first and most impactful discovery necessary. Next is to consider which YOU HAVE CONTROL OVER to make changes as needed and to take action ASAP. You can control more than you think. Don’t be a victim when the power of change is yours. |

Insuperable Vision Workshop - Audio Download with worksheets Day after day I meet people who are struggling just to make ends meet. They are adrift in this vast sea of humanity holding on to their job, their family, their home, and their car with all they've got. They see their life experiences and education as the last hope to find their purpose and identity. They gather, fill and stuff all the money they can into every opportune investment. Yet they are empty, frustrated, angry and just plain fed up. We have all experienced that moment; when we find yourself stuck in traffic, yelling at random strangers to do what they wish they could... but can't... GO! The idea that life can be better than it is today is like the flame of a candle fighting for all its worth to stand against the tempest. We all want a better life. Even when life is good, we want more. That idea, that flame, is the hope that lives in the hearts and minds of all of us. Should that flame be extinguished, hope itself may well go with it. It is the rut of hopelessness that traps many would be shining stars and buries that glow from the sight of the world. It is the rut of hopelessness that extinguishes that flame. Lives that would have been a beacon to the wandering are lost at sea themselves. Inspirations of success that would have been the voices crying out to all who suffer are hidden away in their own stale lives, they cannot share who they are or what the world needs from them. It is my passion to help you find your purpose. I want to see you become successful, but more than that to be free! Without vision people perish. Without vision, we seem to be lost, mind numb robots following the herd into the abyss that is everyday life. We do not live intentionally without a vision for our future. We do not live passionately without a vision for our future. We do not live productively without a vision for our future. We certainly cannot lead without a vision for our future and a vision for the future of those we lead. This audio course will inspire and instruct you to create a vision which will become a significant driving force in your life. Author
