Leaders know when to advance while others sluff. - Published on: Nov 26, 2018 @ 17:52
This is one season of the year when it gets real easy to get real lazy. It’s easy to see a few weeks bookended by holidays and believe “no one else is working” so I can enjoy the Holiday parties and short work days with skeleton crews and catch up with my new year resolutions.
It’s also a season of lighter competition, minimal “heavy lifting” and a great opportunity to forge new relationships and new deals because no one else is really working.
Make that sales call. Put out that new proposal. Put in a few extra hours on that book while things are quiet. Use this lull as a chance to draft past your competition and accelerate into the next year. Don’t lose momentum. Gain ground. Finish strong.
Leaders take full advantage of quiet times to advance.
